Why are my Kidneys not working?

Introduction:

I suffered kidney related problems until my early 30's, when I realised, in the midst of being diagnosed Autoimmune, Thyroid, with some pretty scary test results and symptoms, that it was what I was doing that was causing my kidneys to be unhealthy,

Sounds simple... so stop doing it... but we are talking about our subconscious, physical habits, subconscious muscle tension that is causing limited circulation to and from our kidneys, as well as rigidity that stops our kidneys pulsing.

I could not feel my breath moving in most of my body.

The Kidneys, or any other organ.

The health of every cell in our body requires 2 different pumps for circulation, allowing the cells to live and reproduce in a healthy environment. These pumps both exist within us and require no mental control, or assistance in any way to work perfectly.

One of the vital PUMPS... Your Heart

Circulates blood, ensuring the cycle for nutrient delivery and waste removal is functioning well...

The other vital PUMP... Your Breath

Your breath expands your lungs, which pushes all of the fluids of your body towards the inside of your skin... squeezing and releasing each and every cell with each and every breath.

Our Breath Pump only works as well as it can, and where we have subconscious muscle tension we have restrictions on our breath pump.

The Nervous system connection to the breath and kidneys.

Maia Movement is about what you can feel...

When we are in fight/flight/freeze/fawn, our lower ribs and lower back are pulled forward, which limits the movement of our diaphragm, meaning the Breath Pump is not working anymore.

When we are locked in the fight response, everything we do is at war with our very own state, which perpetuates the fight response.

In this state we are numb, and we seek more and more extreme experiences so that we can actually feel something.

Why the Jellyfish?

To be healthy we need to have an understanding of how we can be effortlessly strong, with balanced energy and our own unique, complete and natural breath rhythm.

Being healthy requires we work with earth force and gravity, to ensure we are not holding ourselves up muscularly, and creating habitual tension that limits and stresses the Heart Pump, because the Breath Pump is not working anymore.

Do I need to go and do Breathwork, or relaxation Breathing?

No, emphatically, and seriously, NO!

When your Breath Pump is not working freely, forceful or controlled breathing is going to create more tension, or another layer of habitual tension that limits the breath.

Your nervous system is the only aspect of yourself that is able to make adjustments to your breath for your highest good.

If we mentally direct our breath, we undermine our nervous system.

Your nervous system works with your innate intelligence, and assess both your internal and external environment, and your breath is going to be moving to ensure the correct fueling of your entire being.

If we breath into any part of our body, we drain breath from the rest of the body... energy flows where attention goes.

What do I do?

Observe without judgement... which means, you need to stop doing anything that you are doing to make yourself better... because... Better than what?

What are these standards that we are always striving to achieve... because science or some expert said... well not one of these approaches has worked long term for me.

It is a shame, but I can not be sorry when I say, science doesn't even know how we work yet, and with all the scientifically proven contradictions out there... people are still living lives where they are not functioning optimally for one or multiple reasons.

How far is too far in my diagnosis?

I love this, fear based therapies. (look back at the nervous system connection)

First, the science and healthy result parameters are always changing.

I had my Thyroid test results looked at by a new doctor, 4 years after they were done... and she said very clearly "BUT THAT IS CANCER". That was 6 years ago. I have not had any treatment for cancer, yet here I sit typing.

If you can comprehend, and get into the positions, you can start resetting your internal environment for healing.

What do I wear for Maia Movement?

Soft clothes that you can move in, no underwire bra, no tight elastic, nothing firm... you will be lying on the floor and going through some large joint rotations, so soft pants are goo.

Can you help with anxiety?

Yes! Maia Bodywork gives you some time where your nervous system is soothed, and tensions released, taking the pressure off, almost like giving you a break... and if you want long term results, Maia Movement guides you to release your own tension, in motion, in any situation, so that you are not living with anxiety, but able to listen and understand the feeling of anxiety as it comes up (which is should).

What style of massage is Maia Bodywork?

I started Kahuna training in 2008, which led to Kahuna Bodywork training. Maia Bodywork is flowing massage that works with your limits, bringing them to awareness whilst nurturing a feeling of safety, this allows you release long held tensions, opening up for a deep massage as you are ready.

The physical limits are linked to emotional-mental-spiritual limits activated by past experiences, to release tensions, physically aligning will soften emotional memories, open your mind and cleanse your spirit.

Yes, my health story includes autoimmune, thyroid that is hereditary, as well as heart conditions, reproductive health, ovarian cysts, adhesions, digestive health, circulation problems, erratic emotions, anxiety, exhaustion, tingling hands and feet, EMF sensitivity, light sensitivity, people sensitivity... general instability, UTI's, kidney issues, adrenal fatigue, anaemia... all of these issues are no longer active in me

I did not change my diet, I do not take any supplements or medications (natural or pharmaceutical), I have no restrictions... because what happens when that options is no longer available?

I do still get treatments & take herbal therapies when I get a little stuck, but these times are now years apart, and with the internal intelligence you awaken with Maia Movement, these choices are to teach me more about myself, allowing me to go deeper, releasing the current layer.

How often do I need to do Maia Movement?

In the beginning, every day for 20 minutes, but once you understand how you function, and you are making refinements upright, in motion, you are in a place where you are not draining your energy, or causing inflammation or degradation.

Each movement becomes an energy pump, as you live in dynamic integration with earth force and gravity, everything you do becomes nourishing.
